    The old Hoxie house was of the salt box variety, pictures of which appear in various publications. Six acres of land were laid out to Ludowick Hoxie after 1650 and he was admitted as a townsman in 1677. By vote of the Town Fathers, the names of all men who could prove their right to the privileges of the town were recorded in 1675.
