- Upon intake, all animals are given a preliminary exam of the eyes, ears, mouth, heart, and lungs, and we check their body temperature. We test ALL our cats and kittens using the triple combo test, which includes tests for leukemia, FIV, and heartworm; however, any kitten under 6 months old that tests negative, could, test positive after 6 months.
