Al Leary, former part owner and managing director of CHUM, opened a new office in San Francisco where he would represent Canadian radio stations and publications in California, Oregon and Washington. CHUM was erecting a new office and studio complex on Mutual Street, near Carlton. It was expected to be ready for use in 1947.
