In July 2021 Anza-Borrego Foundation finalized the transfer of 17,597 acres to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. This historical event, 29 years in the making, is significant for many reasons, including preserving historical, cultural, natural, and sensitive areas. A few of the most critical aspects of the deal include: Almost 10,000 acres of designated State Wilderness Areas.

Anza-Borrego Foundation manages the interpretive sales operations at two State Park Stores: inside the Park Visitor Center and in the town of Borrego Springs. This work ensures that all store proceeds stay local and help the Park where it needs it most. Every sale made at our stores provides critical funding for education programs in the Park!
